Slovene students’ protest

Slovene students were protesting against the new law about student’s work and many other things. Instead of protesting, they were ruining Ljubljana and the parliament. I am a student too, and I am against the new law, but still  the behavior of students today  is not acceptable. Obviously students who were there, came only to get drunk. For God’s sake, if you have the intention to get drunk, go clubbing somewhere, you should not embarrass other students! This does not happen even in other countries! Throwing stones, jelling and endangering other people only to get drunk. How immature!

Our creation: The letter of reference

Today at the class, we had a task to write a letter of reference for the Little Red Riding Hood. We were working in groups – I and two other friends, who I will not name. Here is our letter of reference:

I have known the Little Red Riding Hood since started working as a judge at my TV show Siberian Next Top Model in 2006. As a member of my jury. she is someone for whom I have the greatest respect.

During her time at the Siberian Next Top Model, Miss Little Red Riding Hood has done a lot for our TV show. She designed a fabulous furry wolfskin coat collection, in which our models had a catwalk in the woods. On a more general note, Little Red Riding Hood is creative, sociable, reliable, able to meet deadlines and she is also good at communicating with people.

Reading the description of the job as the editor of the fashion pages at Vogue, I honestly believe, Little Red Riding Hood is that kind of person you are looking for.

Tricks of book sellers

Today I and two my friends went to the book shop Mladinska knjiga to buy a book and a work book that we need for this semester. When we came there, and we saw the price, we thought that is absurd to pay so much for two books that are really thin. In foreign countries you get a book that contains 300 or more pages for 10€, here, in Slovenia books are twice or more expensive. You can ask yourself if it is fair, that booksellers have risen prices so much. A total waist of money.

Books are too expensive in Slovenia

Thank God we are students so we had a little discount on this two books. But it was really a tiny discount :P

“You don’t know nothing!”

Today we met our new professor. She firstly seemed nice, but not for long. After a few minutes in class, she started almost screaming at us how “stupid” we are. She was criticising the school system of Slovenia, like this was only our fault that this school system make us stupid. I had a desire to throw at her my pencil. Later we all came up with the idea she lives only for books. Get a life,  and do not shout at us :P

Holidays? Yeah, right!

For some people holidays have begun, but not for me. I would like to have them, but what if our faculty is so smart and doesn’t give us a week to relax after the exam. This is unfair – we were one of the first students who had exams from the very beginning to the end, and now we don’t even deserve any holidays. It’s totally lame.

Instead of holidays, I must go to school :S

Tea our saviour :D

Yes, exactly. Today during the exam that I have mentioned in my former post, the professor went out of the lecture room to get himself a cup of tea. So we could talk about things we do not know. We really should have more professors like he is. A typical Englishmen :P

Tea our savior...literally :P

After I finished with writing …

… I came out of the lecture room, where we had the last exam in this semester, and there was a bunch of people standing in front of the door. The faculty was crowded by future students, because today and tomorrow there are so called “informativni dnevi”, when the students are informed about the faculties they want to attend . I hardly managed to get out. I had to push people away. Obviously, a lot of future students is interested in our faculty. But they don’t know what is expecting them next year :P

When you get a blister …

… because of writing all the time for almost 3 days without stopping. It seems funny, but obviously it is possible to get a blister on your finger. Now you know how we have to study hard. The blisters are the perfect proof :D

With studying hard you can gain blisters, too

Sleeping that last 14 days?

I saw an article that there is a woman that sleeps 14 days without waking up. It would be nice if I had any time to sleep. My boyfriend is telling me to go to sleep, but what can I do if I have to study. Sadly, there is no other option, only to resist the last day of suffering. Then I will take all weekend for myself and my boyfriend to relax, especially, of the St Valentine’s Day. Can’t wait this weekend to begin. I am expecting it for more than a month. If it only wouldn’t be so short :P

Are you tired sometimes, too?

Finally something nice :D

Today I saw the new  school timetable for this semester. And I love it! Especially Fridays are the most pleasant:P Only one hour of school. We can finally come home earlier than we did last semester. It’ll be nice to do other things in our leisure time.

There will be more time for friends now:D
