Earthquakes often appear

Have you noticed that earthquakes are now appearing more often? Now it happened in Taiwan. The scientists do not connect this earthquake with the former ones in Chile and Haiti. And also here in Slovenia the ground is shaking. I come from Bovec and I know how it is like when the earthquake strikes. Not so pleasant at all. Hopefully, the quakes will stop soon.

Having fun with drifting :D

During weekend we went to the small airport for the sport planes located in Bovec, which was covered with snow, so it was the perfect place to drift with our car. The airport is wide and there were no obstacles which could prevent us doing that. It was already night, so no one could see us. Firstly my boyfriend was behind the wheel, he tried to slide with the hand brake, he also tried out how the car is behaving if he turns off the ESP. He was surprised, because car slid so uncontrollably in contrary of when ESP was turned on, but I was laughing, I was not scared at all.

Then I wanted to drive. So we changed places, and I started to drive. I accelerated and suddenly turned the wheel and slid without the hand brake. It was so exciting, I couldn’t stop. My adrenalin was high. Certainly, you would probably try it too. But if you try, be sure that there aren’t any obstacles you could hit.

Winter idyll in Bovec

Last weekend we were in Bovec, the town mostly known by the mountain Kanin, on which you can go skiing and by the river Soča. This small town seems so peaceful in this period of year, but it won’t be any longer, because the New Year is close, and a lot of tourists come to celebrate to Bovec.

I came from there, so I know a lot of places you can visit, so I suggested to my boyfriend to go somewhere, even if there was snow. We dressed up warmly and drove to different places, and of course we didn’t forget our camera. :D

Here you can see how the winter idyll looks like in Bovec:

When you come on the top of stairs, you see the lake from the creek Gljun. From the dam made, we produce electricity. Here you see the lake:

Then we went to the source of the creek Gljun, where I collected some moss for the Christmas crib. It was freezing and windy. My hands turned almost into ice cubes :D , but the surrounding made us to forget about the weather. While I was collecting moss, my boyfriend took some photos of the source, which average  temperature is only 5,5°C.

After that we went to take some photos of the river Soča to catch the emerald colour of the water. We took the photographs near villages Žaga and Log Čezsoški. While I was standing on a bridge to take a photo, the wind almost blow me away. :D

This river is one of the most beautiful rivers in Slovenia, do you think that, too?
