Commercialized Christmas

Certainly, any one of you can remember how the Christmas was spend in the childhood, can’t you? Probably it was more about family and your closest friends, but today Christmas is commercialized. Nowadays you see shopping centers full of people despite financial crisis that is opposed to be present. But people are so brain washed by different marketing organizations that they will even go to debt,  just to buy Christmas presents for their closest.

People are buying Christmas presents like mad, they forgot about original values of Christmas, because of excesive advertising campaigns in December. They  have turned the legend about Santa into making huge sums of money from the products sold to people. Even if Christmas is commercialized, some people do know what values are important. Spending Christmas Eve in the family circle is something very precious, we mustn’t forget this.

Ljubljana in Christmas lights

Few days ago I went to check out how the Prešernov trg is decorated with Christmas lights. The reason I went there, is because everyone was telling me how beautiful it is and I was also reading about Christmas decorations on blogs of Had, Urbana mačka and Fotoreport. I like Christmas lights, all the colors the lights contain affect on me peacefully. I feel so relaxed and in that moment when I look at them, all problems seem so far away. For me Christmas is not an ordinary day, it contains something magical, something that really amazes me, and even the cold can’t chase me away to see all the decorations outside. So take a walk, and see the beauty of decorated towns an villages, won’t regret it.
