April 2010 Roadtrip: Italy, Venice

I know June has just started, but I do not have any time now to publish anything as I have exams and I have to study hard. Me and my boyfriend, mostly my boyfriend :D , were planning a road trip to Italy. As I love Italy, and I speak Italian too, I suggested some places to go.

On the first day of our road trip we drove through  Trieste (in Slovene: Trst). We meant to stop there and take a walk, but it was raining heavily, so we headed to Treviso where we spent the night. Early in the morning we headed to Venice (Venezia/Benetke), to the town which I assume you are all familiar about. This was our first time in Venice, and we got a quite good impression, except the trash lying on the floor which bothered us. I was disappointed that citizens do not watch over their town, even if they know, the town is the tourists’ site known all over the world. After a long day, running around and sightseeing, we felt enthusiastic even though we were tired as hell.

Here are some photos we took in Venice:

The best chocolate collection ever!

About one week ago we went on a holiday (I’ll write about this trip in my next posts). After a couple of hours of driving, we stopped at a rest stop in Italy (somewhere between Venice and Verona) to go to the rest room. To reach the parking lot, we had to walk through a store, and there I saw it – Ferrero Garden. My boyfriend said we have to take them immediately. So we did, and I do not repent it! :P

When we reached the car, we opened them quickly and started to try the chocolates. I cannot explain the flavors. There is only one thing I wanted to say – the chocolates were exquisite :D Sadly this collection of chocolates is not available in Slovenia :(

Walking in the park of Udine

My sister was walking in the park while she was waiting me, my boyfriend and my dad to come back. Obviously she was noticed by a black man who asked her if she’s single. He also asked her to marry him and if she has any children. When we came back, she told me that and I started to laugh. How funny is that you are only walking up and down the park and you are proposed? Luckily that didn’t happen to me yet :P .

Here I add some photos taken while we were in Italy:
