Description

This plugin allows you to watermark your uploaded images. You can create watermark with different fonts and apply it
to different image sizes (thumbnail, medium, large, fullsize), positioning it anywhere on the image.

Requirements:

  • PHP5
  • GD extension for PHP
  • FreeType Library

Installation

  1. Upload `watermark-reloaded/` to the `/wp-content/plugins/` directory
  2. Activate the plugin through the ‘Plugins’ menu in WordPress
  3. Go to Watermark RELOADED settings and enable watermark

Frequently Asked Questions

Plugin doesn’t work …

Please specify as many informations as you can to help me debug the problem. Check in your error.log if you can.

Error message says that I don’t have GD extension installed

Contact your hosting provider and ask him to enable GD extension for your host, because without GD extension you can say good bye to watermarking.

Error message says that I don’t have FreeType Library

Contact your hosting provider and ask him to install FreeType Library on your host, without it you can’t make text watermarks.

Is there any way to watermark previously uploaded images?

No there’s no way to watermark previously uploaded images and probably this feautre won’t exist.

    i’m going to be uploading lots of images, so your plugin looked perfect
    i have downloaded it and put it in my plugins folder
    and i tried both “network activate”
    and individual activation on test blogs
    in both cases no watermarks appear on the image

    i’m using a text watermark
    i set the settings and then uploaded the images
    i see no errors in the error log

    thanks for any ideas you can offer

    I’ve committed some changes that I had waiting on my disk… maybe it will help. But still I have tested the watermark (old version) on this wordpress (it’s currently 3.3.1) and it worked, so I would appreciate if those who have problems with the plugin would include some more info for instance what exactly is not working, what do you do and how you did it before, that it was working…

    Have you checked that there are some fonts in the plugin fonts folder?

    thank you for this good plugin. I have been used it during two years. Recently my blog move to other host. Now I have error with upload any images like this http://dl.dropbox.com/u/22892221/2012-03-13_182835.jpg
    If I turn off this plugin I haven’t this error.

    I sent email to my new host owner. I wrote all requirements for this plugin like PHP5, GD extension for PHP, FreeType Library. Now all ok.

    A great plugin! Thanks, just what I was looking for – with just one feature missing, an outline to the watermark to make the text clearer on photos etc. As the plugin code was very clear I’ve added this very simply. If you want the code, just send me an email…

    Hi, Thanks for this wonderful plugin, it works perfectly with my other template http://www.mansonchangphotos.com
    but it does not work with http://www.hanartus.com
    With Hanartus.com, I am using the latest WP version, and the latest watermark reloaded as well, the template is called The Architect By Layered Pixels Version 1.2.
    I didn’t get any error messages, the watermark just didn’t show up on my images.

    Hello,

    I LOVE your plugin. Just one prob.
    It effectively watermarks ALL of my images on the site…. including my header image.
    I don’t really want my header image to be watermarked… is there a way around this?
